October 2026Research cut-off: September 2026

The executive view

Three takeaways

01

Digital access is no longer the differentiator; orchestration is.

02

Advice quality is becoming a core conversion constraint.

03

Partnership advantage increasingly depends on the joint operating model.

Abstract

Why this matters

Bancassurance remains strategically important across Asia, but the basis of advantage is changing. The traditional model relied on branch access, customer lists, product placement, and relationship-manager referrals. Digital banking, rising customer expectations, and more complex financial needs are shifting value toward integrated customer journeys and higher-quality advice.

Sources & Methodology

Research type: Secondary research. This publication synthesizes publicly available research, industry data, company disclosures, and other credible sources relevant to the subject. It does not present original survey findings or proprietary market estimates unless explicitly identified.

Sources are reviewed for publication date, geographic scope, definitions, study population, and relevance to the claims presented. Quantitative findings retain their original geography and reporting period; differently defined metrics are used directionally rather than as directly comparable measures. Forecasts, survey intent, company examples, and associations are identified accordingly, and causality is not inferred unless established by the underlying source. Full source references are provided in the downloadable research paper.
